Turducken

I read about the turducken (a turkey stuffed with a duck stuffed with a chicken) the other day in the National Geographic on the plane back from Tokyo. It's pretty messed up to say the least.

Finally got myself a blog set up. I only worked in New Media for four and a half years, so it's taken me long enough to get a site on the web, but here it is.

Japan - Nov 05

Was over in Japan the start of November with my mate Grahame. Stayed in Tokyo for a couple of nights and then Fujisawa where his girlfriend Faye is teaching English.

Salaryman

Daibutsu (the Great Budda) in Kamakura. The temple dates from 741 and the bronze statue of Budda from 1252. Over 11 metres (36 feet) high and weighing 125 tonnes.

Romania - May 05

Just uploaded my photos from the holiday to Romania back in May. We spent two nights in Bucharest and then three out in Brasov in Transylvania.

Ceausescu's Palace of Parliament (the Madman's House)

Transylvania was stunning. The photo below is of the Old Town Square in Brasov.

Bizarrely enough, Brasov even had a 'traditional Scottish Bar'. The 'Auld Scottish Bar'. Nuts.

Don't mix the local hooch (Polinka) with the beer though, or you end up like Graham, fall down drunk and then get yourself and your mates lifted by the Transylvania police. Luckily after playing 'good cop, bad cop', they decided to let us go.
