Arockalypse

I caught a some of the Eurovision Song Contest and saw the Finnish entry Lordi. Apparently Finland's choice prompted some controversy due to their lyrics such as:

"wings on my back, I got horns on my head, my fangs are sharp and my eyes are red, not quite an angel or the one that fell, now choose to join us or go straight to hell,"

Haha.

My favourite lyrics are these ones:

"The walls come down like thunder, The rocks about to roll, It’s the Arockalypse, Now bare your soul"

Fantastic, the "Arockalypse". I hadn't laughed so much for ages.

Watch the video in a larger screen.

As I write this, they are leading though. I hope they win!!

was surfing along in bloggerland and noticed the video on your blog. Good grief! They look like they must be fans of the film "Army of Darkness" Did they actually win? They should win for their costumes alone! LOL

Um, yeah, they actually won it. Lol. It'll be Helsinki for next year's Eurovision then!

Our only music shows here are crap like American Idol and the cheaper version of American Idol for Canada "Canadian Idol" which is nothing more than a glorified karaoke contest. This looks far more entertaining. Maybe Canada should join the EEC rather than being bound so closely to the US. Would make for more entertaining television that's for sure.

Cheers!

Yeah, I remember that. That must have been in 1992? Scary how the time flies.

Terry Wogan is genius - it's worth watching for his dry sense of humour alone.
